Our new modern fav the Grant Building had one of it's construction signs defaced. Disgruntled office worker? Mortgage applicant turned down? Anarchists who've had enough of opportunistic ATM fees? We're not sure, but nothing screams protest like scrawling on an improvised construction sign.
There was a guy who used to Picket the Farmers and Merchants bank at Argonne and Sprague fairly frequently over the last 4 or 5 years. I haven't seen him since Banner took over...
Pretty weird all around though

But, importantly, no more banks allowed after Banner Bank. Maybe he is satisfied with the current banking options available in Spokane and wants the world to know?

That sign got tagged shortly after it went up--many, many months ago. I'm thinking that some friendly to Banner Bank added the "after Banner" as it's in different writing.
I can't say that I disagree all that much, as the storefront will be devoid of any and all activity after 5 PM and will add very little to the streetscape or nightlife (see Global CU across the street), despite the beautiful job that SRM has done with the building. Though I can't say that defacing another's property is the best way to express displeasure with the situation. I would rather see street level retail here.
