A long time reader, acting swiftly with his phone camera the other evening, snapped this most excellent photo and sent it our way:
"I snagged this shot near the thor/Freya exit. The rusty pickup filled my heart with joy to know that even those who accept and embrace rust, wood and long term fixes using Duct-tape are still proud of their city."
The image you're resting your eyes upon is perhaps the single best Expo '74 souvenir...EVER! Hands down. Mud flaps. Flippin', Expo '74 mud flaps. You can't even find these at the White Elephant. Priceless.
I was driving a couple years ago and saw an intake bumper sticker from Expo '74 also. It brought back memories and rememberances of the city pride during the Expo years. The "Spokane Can-Do Spirit". Slowly, it it coming back (city pride) after all these years!
I've seen an Expo Mudflap before, but it has been a few years.

I like how the earth-air-water logo is right about where Spokane is on the map. This is very cool, some people just don't know it yet.

I wonder if a pair of these would fit on my ford taurus.

I want to make an industrial style corset out of one of these!
