If it's summer you can bet the South Perry Summer Theater is just around the corner. Actually it all begins this Friday in the Perry District. The location is per the usual in the Parking lot of the Shop and movies generally begin at dusk, twilight, nightfall or whatever measure of darkness is required to see the thing. For your browsing convenience see the schedule below...and bring a lawnchair, couch, papasan, or whatever works best for you. Although it's free, bring some scheckles to support this fine tradition.
DATE MOVIE
Fri 7/18 Galaxy Quest
Sat 7/19 Top Gun
Sat 7/26 Beetlejuice
Sat 8/2 They Call Me Trinity
Sat 8/9 Willow
Sat 8/16 L.A. Story
Sat 8/23 The Love Bug
Sat 8/30 The Sound of Music
- The Shop [website]
Yeah, I would encourage people to donate, considering it's really expensive to showcase a movie in that setting. You have to pay not for the movie but the distributor to play the movie for the public. The fee is about $200. So remember to donate!
I'm so there for Beetlejuice.
