The Ciclovia Spokane Map can be found at: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Ciclovia-Spokane
After posting the idea of a Ciclovia Spokane event, and reading the resulting comments, we thought we'd take a stab at drawing our own route. Taking a cue from the most excellent cyclingspokane.blogspot.com bike commuting routes, we created a public map on Bikely.com named Ciclovia Spokane (look up).
We started off by adding what we think would be a nice route that
could reach a good amount of people and provide a safe environment for
all non-motorized traffic. The route starts at Corbin Park and takes a
nice straight route down to Riverfront Park. The route includes a
meetup point at the Rotary Fountain.
The map is public, so feel free to add your own 'preferred routes'. Just be sure to label them and provide a description and some of your thoughts. Good luck & have a great weekend.
Thanks so much for the awesome resources! I spent a few minutes of valuable office time to create the commuting routes I love the most. So when will we see a cylovia action committee in Spokane (and where can I sign up to help!)

"...most excellent..." nice. Thanks for the props. To see actual commtue routes from the commute route project, go here: http://www.johndogfood.com/bikespokane/. If you're running a Mac, the application on that website will only run if you're running Firefox. More info on the commute route project here: www.bikespokane.com/follow.html.
Count me in for Cylovia.
Hey de$ (it's Monet!) -- come to a Bicycle Advisory Board (bikespokane.com)meeting if you're serious about helping on such a project. Something will happen next Spring/Summer and help is needed.

Thanks for the information. Biking even for us middle age types is invigorating and a great way to beat gas prices. The only way to make it safer and perhaps spur the city traffic engineers to create bike lanes is to get out in traffic and ride. This educates drivers and shows the interest in the activity to policy makers. Envision biking in Spokane someday as it happens now in Eugene and other cites. Besides we have much better weather!

Keep me updated with the progress of this, I would love to help out in any way. Our city needs more teenage involvement.
This is the route I made. I tried to connect the north side and south side in it.
