We fondly refer to it as the Espresso Delicioso Building. You may remember Espresso Delicioso (pre-Merq) which was easily the
most interesting venue on the North Bank (If not most of downtown) back in the early to mid-90s.
The thought of prying those awful 4'x8' plywood panels and the cedar-shake off the facade has been on our minds for years. And what about the courtyard to the side? Perfection. Friends they don't make third places much better than this. This is old Spokane at it's best. The question is, at an asking price of $1,060,000 will it pencil? Sweet Mother of all that is holy, if we had a spare $1 million lying around, we would be all-over-this-place. Damn you real-estate appreciation!!! Damn you Kendall Yards!!!
Right there with ya. Right there with ya.
I wanted to buy this building 10 years ago. It's a hidden gem just waiting to happen. But that's a bit rich for my blood. And I think for pretty much any "third place" contenders out there. How on earth could you pencil that out -- without converting it to HIGH end office/retail/CONDO space? (I hate the word condo, hate it. Hate.)

Would be a nice if not unprofitable projct. Let's support Kendall Yards though - the most exciting development to hit town, ever! We just need to keep in mind - Do Not Block Views of the River at KY- make it accessible which I believe is in the plan. The presumed landscaping would improve the rubble that currently sits on the north bank courtesy of the City which used to dump there!
