The best thing about the resurgence in urban living in Spokane is the creative reuse of former industrial properties. Last week we received an email from the developer of a unique building located on the Spokane River - the new Iron Bridge Condos. Taking its namesake from the abandoned railbridge to the north of the property, the building will be home to twelve new unfinished condo shells to be completed by each unit's future owner.
Over the nearly 100 year lifespan of building, it has housed a toilet supply company and even an industrial laundry. Given those uses, the 22' ceilings found in most of the units will come as no surprise. But if ample amenities are your thing, we don't think you could do much better than this place as it's literally perched on the river's edge, and that means some big windows and sweet views. It's also within walking distance of the Hamilton St. corridor and McCarthy Arena which is a plus. Units will run from 913 sqf to 1516 sqf. Those with 22' ceilings can opt to have an additional mezznine built to expand the living space. Prices for the unfinished shell units will run from $264k to $387.5K.
