I was against this project when it started, but the top of the building does look nice.

If you ever spent time at the little fountain and looked at the awesome tile art there, it is truly a loss to downtown. I haven't been by to see if they saved any of it, but those who knew abou it knew it was a small jewel downtown. Sort of like the small side alley garden of the Chamber of Commerce building, but more open. Now it's gone. Let's hope they saved the tiles.


It looks like a UFO crashed on top of the building, especially with the gawdy red and blue lights. I live in the apartments accross the street and its daylight 27/7 in my place since they decided to double the downtown light pollution by themselves. And I really miss the sound of the fountain from my window - instead, it looks like they put in a new bus plaza!
