We spotted the elusive Tango downtown yesterday afternoon in front of Mizuna. The bright-red car parked perpendicular to the sidewalk was tough to miss. Curious pedestrians, unsure of what they were seeing, stopped momentarily for a closer look.
It's electric powered, smaller than a Honda Goldwing, and best of all the Tango is headquartered locally. This baby is 8'5" long and 39" wide and the top of the line T600 goes from 0-60 in 4 seconds. For the average commuter it costs about 1/2 that of a gasoline car per mile. Concerned about rollovers? Don't be. The website vouches that it's more stable than most sports cars. They even have a video clip demonstrating its handling ability (quicktime - 4.5 MB).
Interested? Reserve yours now. George Clooney just bought one in April.
Tango T600 Features ($108,000 with $10,000 deposit)
Tango T200 Features ($39,900 with $1,000 deposit)
Tango T100 Features ($18,700 with $500 deposit)
Unfortunately only the T600 is available at this time. Visit www.commutercars.com.
I saw it the other day, also downtown. I had never seen one before and did not know what it was, thanks for clearing that up. Now if I only had $108K...

What I want to know is if that dude paid any meters or if he was just mooching off the other two spots. It seems our whole parking meter enforcement system would be destroyed if these things took over the streets.
