Sneak Peek: New Melting Pot means ample cheese just around the corner
The sign is up and the finishing touches are being applied on the inside at the new Melting Pot on Main and Post. According to their website the Florida-based chain is shooting for a grand opening on March 5th and by the look of the place this afternoon they'll likely make it. Speaking of the interior space think dark, rich colors all sparsely lit. We have to wonder what effect the smell of warm Wisconsin Cheddar will have on people working out across the skywalk at OZ Fitness.

another good addition to the downtown spokane landscape!

it is a good addition, I just hope that people will support them! Spokane can be a tough market for restaurants that are a little more upscale than Red Robin. It is a good sign that P.F. Changs is doing well, but they have a perfect location. I hope that Melting Pot (wish they were open for lunch) does some good advertizing and spurs more development in the Cresent Court. Speaking of the Cresent Court, does anyone know if there are anymore planned tenants for that building.

I hope they do well too. The location is going to be a tough one though. My guess is that the building owners plan on getting retail back into the second floor and told Melting Pot as much. I doubt a chain like this would be foolish enough to go into a location with absolutely no foot traffic in the evening.
