There' s a lot happening in the upper floors of two of Spokane's mid-century gems. The Lincoln Plaza (1963) and The Fidelity Building (1952) have been undergoing some exterior improvements over the past few months.
During a walk along Riverside Avenue downtown this afternoon we spotted the nearly complete window-swap in the Fidelity and a new roofline for the Lincoln Plaza. We like the changes we're seeing, especially those in the Lincoln.
Always one of our fav dowtown buildings, the Lincoln will soon be bringing much more commercial/retail space to the street-level in as many four new storefronts and a redesigned pedestrian plaza. We're crossing our fingers for some outdoor seating to replace what was removed.
We've seen a couple versions of the new 'crown' and like the one they've chosen. Some dramatic uplighting would top it off nicely.
